Welcome to Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Children's Ministry. Our goal is help children begin their journey with Christ.
To do so, we offer Sunday School classes that begin at 9:45am each Sunday morning. Ages 4 through grade 5 meet in the fellowship hall each week for their lesson. Our children’s class has a age-appropriate curriculum designed to teach our children the beloved stories of the Bible while encouraging and building friendships. We have a wonderful group of teachers that lead the children in lessons, crafts, and games. A nursery is provided for ages infant through age 3.
We also feel that it is important for children to bond not only with Christ, but our church family. Our children also participate in Methodist Minors. We do lots of fun activities, including outreach projects. We have had movie nights at the church, bowling, trips to the pumpkin farm, and lots more. This year our outreach was to local foster children. Parents and children meet to make fleece blankets that would be given to children as they entered the foster care program.
Some of our holiday activities include Easter egg hunt, Trunk or Treat, and Christmas play.
During the summer, we also have vacation bible school for one week during the evening hours. The children have a wonderful time learning about what an amazing God we serve. We sing, listen to stories, have games, snacks, and crafts.
We also have a children's choir that sings during church services once a quarter. This is such a delight for the adults in the church!
